Been bit of a bore this whole week, and I just realized today is June already. The sun is boiling outside, and the heat mixed with the dirty black fumes makes for a great cocktail for those wanting to mutate. I think people in Hong Kong have evolved into these fume smoking cracks, and it’s now just a acceptable norm. Even the gov’t doesn’t give a shit anymore. Oh well.

Sun’s out finally

So I went to the beach on Sunday. It was good fun even though it was raining. Need to make more planned outings such as these. Especially since Summer is here now.

Me and her been meeting up everyday since Thursday. In a way it is a good thing, but well, complicated nonetheless. I didn’t go to work yesterday as I was feeling a bit icky and tired. I ended up going to watch the movie Fracture with her instead in the afternoon.

The movie was alright. Good concept, but the script could have been polished up a little bit, and executed a bit better. Anthony Hopkins was cool, but underused, and the ending was a little typical. So, yea, at the end of it, it had the potential to be one of those unforgettable films, but ended up being very forgettable. 6/10

Well, we had a public holiday yesterday, but I’m still glad today is Friday. So Liverpool lost this time in the final. I wasn’t too surprised. Ac Milan played a strong tactical game and were deadly in the chances they got. Liverpool were lucky in their consolation goal, but still lost 2-1. It was all fair game so no complaints from anyone I guess.

Stayed home mostly yesterday though I did go out for dinner with her. It was probably the highlight of my last few days, and I’d like to think we actually had a nice time just talking. The truth is, I just don’t know what’s on her mind, so it’s a bit daunting. I guess I can’t do too much about it but keep up on my end. I walked her close to her home before we parted. We plan to watch Fracture on Saturday night, but I’m just looking forward to just seeing her again.

Been sleeping a little early this week, and I feel it is doing me some good. I should try to keep it up. Anyways, gonna see the Chinese doctor today for my legs, let’s see what he says.

Champions League Final Tonight

This time last year, I was preparing for my beloved Arsenal to take on Barcelona in the final. We came so close to winning that. This season however has not been a good one for my team, but nonetheless, I still followed them through to the end.

But tonight is the final, Liverpool take on AC Milan. It’s going to be a tough game and it is literally 50-50 on whose going to take the trophy this season. I really don’t have too much of a preference, but I will be staying up late to watch this game. The last time these two played each other was in the final 2 years ago when Liverpool made a dramatic come back from 3-0 down to end up winning the cup on penalties. If that is anything to go by, it will be a fantastic game tonight.

Oh, and watched the season finale of Heroes last night. It was alright, a little anti-climatic, but very much inline to the style of the series. Minimal action and more drama, which I guess is a interesting take to a series about super heroes, so I will give credit to the creators for that. Can’t wait for season 2.

Anyways, it is so far a very quiet and slow day at the office. Seems to be happening more and more.

A dark and very gloomy day

Work up this morning, and noticed that the day is as dark as a day could get, and it’s been pouring too. One of those perfect days to sleep in, but alas, I have to be here at work and have my battle against sleep.

I had a long day yesterday. After work I headed to uni, and by the time I got home for dinner it was around 10 something. Was really exhausted.

I called her before I went to bed just to say Hi and ask how her day was, but one thing led to another and we ended up talking and discussing our past relationship. I guess it is always hard discussing these matters, but I think we both made a good attempt to keep it as civil as possible.

We ended on a tense note. I was still thinking about it all the rest of the night. Nothing is ever easy, especially in relationships, and especially when you had broken up 5 months ago and only now revisiting the problems we had last year.

I do hope she is alright, and that there will be some good coming out of these recent events.

Showery Weekend

It’s Monday and I’m back at work. Didn’t do much on the weekend. Had a full day class on Saturday, and then decided I was going to stay in at night. The weather was actually very pleasant. It was raining and there was a strong cool breeze all through yesterday as well. I stay home throughout and wasn’t really bored however. Talked to friends on the phone, internet, did some web surfing, some reading and writing, and of course a customary afternoon nap. It was all, hmm..just nice.

Oh and someone special got me listening to this track by Damien Rice called The Blower’s Daughter. I heard it long ago in the movie Closer, and I just came to realize how good this song is. One of the best ones I’ve been addicted to in awhile.

Damn Legs

So I’ve this problem with my legs. I can’t play sports on a regular basis. If I play more than once in say 2 weeks, my shins ache and feel bruised and the next few days, I feel pain even walking or going up and down the stairs.

I love playing football, and at one point I was playing 3 times a week but that was like 2 years ago. I have had this problem now for quite some time and none of the doctors can figure it out. I’m going to see a Chinese bonesetting doctor possibly next week, hopefully he will shed some light to this problem.

Anyways, the weekend is here, even though my university starts tonight and I got a full day session tomorrow. I’ll be meeting my friend for his birthday drinks tonight. Tomorrow night, well, there’s an Indian Dress Party, I may attend that. Let’s see.

Amazing how time flies and things get left behind.

Last post was in September last year? Oh no.

A lot has happened since. My girlfriend and I separated in January, but may be on the verge of getting back together again. She means a lot to me, but well…I don’t know. It’s quite complicated. Why can’t anything be simple in life? Complications drain us to the bone. Anyways, that’s another story.

I may be getting a personal trainer in the coming weeks to help me get on a routine to build up at the gym. I have been going to gym for a long time with only minimal gains. I guess I am not doing things right. Stuck at the 160lbs range, and for someone whose almost 6 feet tall, I feel it’s not good enough. Need to get the diet right and put on about 10lbs of muscle. Hopefully.

May sign up for a few sessions first since it is quite expensive and hard to afford, and I’ll see from there.

I couldn’t believe it when I read it on CNN, but everyone’s favourite “Crocodile Hunter” has passed away. I was very fond of the aussie bloke. His shows were different and he made wildlife documentaries with a passion not seen elsewhere.

At the moment I am quite shocked myself. I love nature documentaries, and use to watch Steve all the time.

Rest in peace Stevo.
